Global Strategic Plan

Announced our 2019-2021 Global Strategic Plan, which put climate change, our people and Future Ready® at the forefront of our strategy.



Credit Facility

Became the first professional services firm to sign a sustainability-linked syndicated credit facility in the Americas.



Environment Sector Growth

Posted strong growth in our Environment sector, and welcomed nearly 1,500 Environment-sector employees through acquisitions closed or announced in 2019.

Health and Safety

Reported a strong Health & Safety record in 2019, with a global Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIR) of 0.06, and all regions achieving a LTIR below 0.1 (target is <0.1 per 100,000 hours).

Code of Conduct

Recorded that approximately 96.8% of employees globally completed our annual Code of Conduct refresher training in 2019 (2021 target is 100%).

Employee Retention

Improved our employee retention by one percentage point (14% voluntary turnover rate in 2019, down from 15% in 2018), moving us closer to our target of under 12% by 2021.




Named “Most Sustainable Company” in the Engineering Industry — 2019” by World Finance magazine.
