This week WSP launched its Graduate 2017 open evenings targeting dynamic young talent in New South Wales.

Group Talent Acquisition Executive Siobhan Savage said there has never been a better time to be looking for graduate opportunities with the company.

‘We are in positive growth mode with exciting opportunities for ongoing development.

‘Since the beginning of 2015 we have hired 96 graduates and 45 interns.

‘We intend to maintain this momentum, creating a talent pool of graduates for our business across Australia and New Zealand.

‘We are always happy to buck recruitment trends to deliver business results.

‘This year we opted to dispense with graduate fairs and instead partnered with LinkedIn to raise the stakes in this highly-competitive recruitment space.

‘We looked for a similar level of smart thinking from our potential graduates who were asked to submit compelling LinkedIn profiles and selfie videos outlining how they are 2 steps ahead of their peers.

‘Judging by the calibre of graduates we met in Sydney, we are not going to be disappointed,’ concluded Ms Savage.

At the Sydney event, graduates met with senior management and business leaders. Senior leaders shared their personal stories of career progression including some of the challenges and roadblocks they encountered along the way. Some of the company’s graduates and interns outlined their experience in the business.

Potential graduates had plenty of time to network with employees, the People team and their LinkedIn colleagues to appreciate how the future might look for them.

Further graduate evenings will be hosted in various locations throughout Australia and New Zealand over the coming week.
