EO and President, Guy Templeton, highlighted the significance of this appointment.
‘Jenny’s appointment reflects our commitment to continuing the expansion of our environment capability.
‘She will manage one of the largest and most diverse environment teams in Australia and New Zealand.
‘Her strong client relationships and proven capacity to lead high-performing teams across core environmental disciplines made Jenny the best candidate for this role.
‘She also has the honour of being the first female Director of Environment for our business,’ said Mr Templeton.
Managing Director Property, Environment & Resources Andrew Mather welcomed Ms MacMahon to the team.
‘Jenny displays an ability to identify needs, to build capability and empower teams; all prerequisites for our local business sustainability.’
Jenny, who will be based in Sydney, has over 20 years’ experience working in-house as Head of Environment for AGL, leading the NSW environment division of URS and running her own consultancy business.
Her career highlights have resulted from working in multidisciplinary teams across a range of sectors including transport, power, mining, oil & gas and industrial clients. Jenny has led teams that supported the divestment of electricity generating assets in NSW; worked with stakeholders and regulators in the potential development of coal seam gas resources in NSW; supported environmental assessments; led EHS and community assurance audit programmes and conducted investigations into environmental issues that resulted in reduced business risk profiles.
‘I look forward to ensuring our team of scientists and specialists continue to help our clients navigate complex regulatory and social requirements and contribute to sustainable and community-focused outcomes,’ said Ms MacMahon.
