Mr Kerley will highlight the key functions and the benefits of early and collaborative involvement of an Independent Engineer throughout the various phases of large-scale renewable energy projects.
The Independent Engineer perform various verification and reporting tasks on behalf of the lending banks during the course of construction and commissioning of large-scale renewable energy projects.
WSP General Manager Power, Paul Williams explained, ‘We are able to draw upon our experience acting as Independent Engineer on a range of Australian and international projects to provide recommendations for when and how to effectively incorporate the Independent Engineer into your project.’
Mr Manderson will present on the future need for utility scale ‘bulk’ energy storage as the electricity sector decarbonises.
‘While batteries show promise for cost reduction, there are a range of other energy storage options which may form part of the solution and we should consider them,’ said Mr Manderson.
WSP General Manager Power, Paul Williams emphasised; ‘Batteries will play a role in our future energy mix and it is vital to explore the optimum use of batteries in our energy system along with other solutions.’
The All-Energy Conference is Australia’s largest clean and renewable energy conference. With innovation at the core of this year’s agenda, the conference will focus on topics such as energy storage, the emerging smart grid and energy efficiency.
