Last night, Technical Director and Head of Acoustics, Adrian White, presented at the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand seminar on the Caulfield to Dandenong level crossing removal project (CD9) in Melbourne.

The project involves the removal of nine level crossings and the rebuild of five stations on Melbourne’s busiest train line in a highly urbanised environment.

As the Noise and Vibration Lead for the project, Adrian shared his experiences around the effective techniques employed as part of the project, to manage operational and construction noise to produce positive outcomes.

The seminar also covered details about how the project has been an exemplary example of positive community engagement and how this has led to better project outcomes. As well as this, how the CD9 project is achieving exceptional sustainable development results was also discussed during the event.
