Lisa joined WSP in 2011 as a Hydraulics Designer in our Property team.

Calling Brisbane home, Lisa regained her passion for design, citing the attraction of a multi-disciplinary consultancy as a refreshing opportunity that was exciting, dynamic and challenging.

Lisa says ‘Since starting with the company I have thoroughly enjoyed the scope of work the company can offer. I believe in my ability to cope with change developed courtesy of juggling life, family and ambition so the full breadth of service the company offers only excites me.’

During her time with the business she has shown her versatility working on projects spanning the commercial, residential, government, education, retail, industrial, health and aged care sectors.

Before joining our team Lisa admits to experiencing many twists and turns along the way. Combining family and career ambitions, she relocated through Adelaide, Roxby Downs, the Hunter Valley, and Central Queensland, working on different Architectural, Civil and Structural, Mining, Electrical, Environmental and Mechanical engineering projects over her 20 years in the industry.

One thing that has remained steadfast over the years though has been her relentless ambition to continue to ‘never stop learning’. The proof is in the pudding for Lisa who continues to seek out opportunities to lead teams and is working towards completing her Diploma of Plumbing Engineering.

Beyond her career, as a devoted single mother of two, Lisa is determined to pave a life for her daughters whereby they are inspired, empowered and aspirant. She wants her daughters to gather life experiences and if there was anything she could pass onto them it would be that ‘the opportunity to learn, gather and collect information is gold’.

Lisa’s story of juggling life, family and ambition is another example of the talented females at WSP.
