His move to WSP will see him spearhead a strategic growth area for the firm in response to the industry’s need for smarter ways to manage road network operations and optimise infrastructure performance.
Mr Todd comes to the firm from VicRoads where he held the role of Deputy Chief Executive, responsible for coordinating investment and design services, regional services and major projects.
Drawing on his extensive experience in infrastructure planning, design and road operations across Australia, Mr Todd will lead a team of experienced advisors and technical specialists focused on asset management, asset inspection and assessment.
Commenting on this appointment, Richard Boggon, WSP’s General Manager of Transport Services, said, “Peter brings a whole-of-network perspective to infrastructure asset owners, operators and regulators.
“His approach embraces disruptive technologies such as automated and connected vehicles, and will provide guidance to deal with increasing funding and land use constraints.”
Prior to VicRoads, Mr Todd was the General Manager Roads and Traffic for the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources in Tasmania where he was in charge of the state’s road network comprising capital projects, maintenance, road safety improvement and operations.
Mr Todd will be based in the firm’s Melbourne office.
