The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital is a new regional hospital co-located on a greenfield site at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital campus. The hospital has over 160 beds with flexibility for future expansion to 200 beds and six operating theatres. It provides a range of inpatient and day services. The hospital also includes consulting suites for radiology, cardiac and cancer specialists.

 

The in-patient accommodation is located on the eastern side of the hospital and has excellent views towards the ocean and the lakes and views to the hinterland on the west. Maximising the patient experience and delivering best practice healthcare at this hospital was a key focus for the client.

 

Partnering for Success

We provided an integrated service, working in a collaborative delivery model with the client and construction partner to create a high return on investment for the new has state-of-the-art facility.

 

The hospital was benchmarked using the Green Star health care tool to achieve best practice in the order of a 4 Star Green Star performance.

 

Boosting Patient Outcomes

The Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital was delivered ahead of its expected completion date and under budget. Future development proposed for this hospital includes an additional wing with 40 beds, a medical centre and a maternity ward.
