WSP celebrates Indigenous Peoples Day

We are committed to supporting and partnering with our Indigenous communities, employees and leaders for a more resilient future.

Sunday, June 21 marked Canada’s National Indigenous Peoples Day, a celebration of Canada’s diverse communities of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.

Indigenous communities are a vibrant, essential part of Canada’s culture and history — and Indigenous people are valued partners, employees, leaders and stakeholders in our projects at WSP.

WSP in Canada’s Indigenous Relations Policy reflects our commitment to building strong relationships with Indigenous clients and partnerships for sustainable communities. As we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day, WSP reinvigorates our commitment to support our Indigenous partners.

WSP is a proud national sponsor of the 2020 Indspire Awards, which honours the outstanding achievements of Indigenous individuals across Canada. Several of our leaders and guests attended the 2020 awards ceremony in March, and the ceremony was broadcast on CBC on Sunday, June 21 to mark Indigenous Peoples Day. We are committed to supporting and listening to Indigenous voices from coast to coast.
