Since 1984, Prince of Wales Hospital has been providing comprehensive quality health care and serving as a teaching hospital for the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The main clinical block and trauma center commenced service in October 2010 after being rebuilt. With a total floor area of 770,000-square feet (71,500 square meters) this 14-story building provides state-of-the-art medical facilities and an improved environment for both patients and staff. It also houses the 24-hour accident and emergency department as well as an additional 800-beds, 14 operating theaters and special isolation wards.

WSP served as the mechanical and electrical consultant to the design-build contractor with responsibility for the design of specialist hospital systems, isolation and infection control systems, and critical backup building services systems.
