In a joint venture with NACO and T.Y. Lin International, we are is providing general consultancy services for the development of the Terminal 3 Area at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TTIA).

Terminal 3 will be divided into three stages, namely planning, design and construction. At the planning stage, the general consultant will be responsible for the terminal area master planning, while during the design and construction stages, the general consultant will be in charge of project and construction management.

TTIA currently handles 25 million passengers annually and is preparing for a growth of up to 60 million passengers by 2030. In the near future the surrounding Taoyuan region will be developed for commercial, industrial, and residential use with a focus on aviation related activities. The new Terminal 3 will be connected with Terminal 2 and the area in between will be developed to accommodate a ground transportation centre, parking, and commercial real estate. Both terminals will have stations served by the regional light rail system. The new airport terminal will be capable of handling 43 million passengers annually in its ultimate phase.

The NACO-T.Y. Lin International-Parsons Brinckerhoff joint venture presents a team with a clear vision, strong track record and local resource base. JV members and their scope of services are as follows:

  • NACO (Netherlands Airport Consultants B.V.) – master planning

  • Parsons Brinckerhoff – project management and MEP/FIDS/IT design review

  • T.Y. Lin International – construction management and civil/structure design review

The construction of the Terminal 3 Area is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018. After the construction is completed, the general consultant will help the client in acceptance and hand-over documentation until the official operation is initiated.

The total service duration is seven years.
