WSP has strengthened its transport and infrastructure team with two new senior appointments that are set to head up the businesses growing local government and digital opportunities.

David Stephens has joined WSP as Head of Local Government which is part of WSP’s Transport & Infrastructure Strategic Business Unit.

David has been brought in to enhance WSP’s focused effort in this strategic market and further develop the £100million worth of local government work WSP already does across the UK.

Having spent 29-years in the industry, David has worked on some of the UK’s biggest projects and was previously the Development Director for the Europe State & Local Government business at CH2M.

David Stephens, WSP Head of Local Government said: “After 14 great years with Halcrow and CH2M the next move was always going to be a big decision.  Combined with the opportunity to develop a business focused on supporting our local government clients; it was WSP’s forward-looking culture that got me really excited.”

Also joining WSP’s transport and infrastructure team is Adrian Malone, who has been appointed as Head of Digital Project Delivery and BIM.

Adrian joins WSP after spending a decade with Atkins where he took on numerous roles including Group Head of Knowledge Management and Collaboration.

He will build on WSP’s core BIM capability to help clients grasp the opportunities of digital technology which can provide a new approach to create, maintain and operate infrastructure.
