Professional services consultancy WSP has won a contract with the Eriugena consortium on the €220m Dublin Institute of Technology Campus, Grangegorman

The company’s Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) and Real Asset Investment Services team has secured the role of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Manager on the purpose-built further education facility. The facility involves two buildings: the Central Quad and East Quad; providing General and Financial Management and Company Secretarial Services.

Derek Sharkey, Commercial & Strategy Director at WSP’s PPP & Real Asset Investment Services team, said: “We have been tracking this project for some time and are delighted to have secured such a prestigious commission.  This award is ground-breaking for our team on multiple levels, as it is our first international SPV Management commission, coupled with our first such role working with Macquarie Capital”.

Loraine O’Sullivan, Head of Asset Management at WSP’s PPP & Real Asset Investment Services team, commented: “This takes our Asset Management business to a new level.  We pride ourselves on our independent offering, coupled with our formally certified processes, procedures and a level of governance, essential where investors are looking for a proactive, solution based approach.  We look forward to working with and developing a strong partnership with the Grangegorman stakeholders on this exciting opportunity throughout this project”.

This success has recently been recognised in being awarded SPV Management of the Year (Silver Award) at the Partnerships Award 2018.  WSP has an extensive portfolio of SPV Management contracts supporting a range of investors.
