In responding to the complex and evolving challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, our priority is the safety and welfare of our employees, clients and supply chain. In the UK, we have been monitoring the situation closely to ensure that we are prepared to respond to any scenario. In doing so, we are following the latest advice from the Public Health Authorities, the UK Government, and liaising with WSP colleagues worldwide.

Operations update
All WSP UK offices are now closed and will re-open when government guidelines permit. Our staff are all working remotely from home and we continue to operate a business as usual stance working with clients and the supply chain to deliver projects.

During this period of uncertainty, WSP remains focused on providing our clients with the highest level of service and responding to emerging needs and priorities. We are assessing work that is deemed essential on a project site or at a client location, on a case by case basis, in collaboration with our clients.

WSP’s UK Coronavirus Response Team meets daily to monitor developments and to plan and prepare for possible future scenarios. Our resilience and business continuity plan ensures that any further impact of COVID-19 is addressed and mitigated to the greatest extent possible. We are working to the international standard for business continuity, ISO22331.

A collaborative approach
With collaboration at the heart of everything we do, our teams continue to support our clients and their projects through modified working practices that include online technologies and meeting solutions. WSP has long championed a flexible and virtual working environment.

We remain focused on project delivery and meeting client needs and are confident we have the best possible tools and processes to cope with the challenges we will face in the coming months.

Our commitment
The COVID-19 outbreak is testing individuals and businesses in ways many of us did not fully anticipate. Managing a business through a pandemic involves significant challenges, but we are up to the challenge.

Our purpose remains to future-proof our cities, communities and the environment. By working together, we will emerge stronger and more connected than ever before.
