Agricultural Bank of China Tower (50 Connaught Road Central)

Located in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central Business District, the 28-story Agricultural Bank of China Tower includes a two-level retail area and 23 floors of offices with supporting facilities.

With its combined glass and limestone façade, the building differs from many other buildings in Hong Kong, which typically use glass and steel curtain wall systems. The building, designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern, was completed in April 2011.

WSP provided project and construction management services from support during the acquisition and demolition of the existing buildings to project and construction management of the new tower. The firm’s responsibilities included the management of the interior fitting-out works and management of consultant team members including architectural, civil, structural, building services, façade, and lighting specialists.

A LEED- (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building, Agricultural Bank of China Tower incorporates a number of green design solutions such as optimizing water efficiency and energy performance.
