Bangkok Mass Transit System (Sky Train) in Bangkok, Thailand

A 34-mile (55-kilometer), 25-station elevated rapid transit system in Bangkok, Thailand.

The system consists of two lines served by 35 three-car trains and began revenue services in December 1999. It is operated by Bangkok Mass Transit System Public Company Limited (BTSC) under a concession granted by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). We provided mechanical, electrical, rail systems design and quality assurance services for the initial system.

Subsequently, under separate contracts, we were commissioned by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) to provide design services for the 16-mile (26-kilometer), 20-station Green Line North Extension project. Responsibilities include detailed design of track work, station structures, building services, and outline design for all rail systems works including rolling stocks, signaling and train control, communication, power supply, SCADA, and automatic fare collection systems.
