The objectives of the Global Risk, Ethics & Compliance workshops are to help employees grasp why corruption and bribery risk is important to manage and understand the key risks and issues around the subjects of gifts, entertainment and hospitality, working with third parties, conflicts of interest and last but not least, confidentiality. The workshops also inform staff as to where further support and advice can be sought.
Workshops are held in China on a regular basis with participation from staff across the company spectrum including engineers, project managers and general management personnel. A workshop on crisis management was also conducted for the Asia team in Hong Kong.
Adam said, “These in-person training sessions augmented the recent on-line Code of Conduct training and provided our staff with the opportunity to interact and ask questions about some of the more complicated risks. I always enjoy visiting our different offices across Asia. The work we do in each location varies which in turn results in differing risks to our business. It is also a two way process because I learn a lot from our local teams too.”
