Corporate Knights ranks WSP amongst top 10 Best Corporate Citizens in Canada

WSP is ranked 7th in the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada this year, according to the award-winning business and society magazine Corporate Knights. With a focus on “clean capitalism,” the research firm uses 12 key performance indicators to evaluate a company’s corporate citizenship performance.

Corporate Knights ranks companies based on publicly-disclosed data such as employee metrics, sustainability performance, corporate tax strategy, management and board diversity, as well as clean revenue.

WSP is committed to embedding sustainability practices into our projects, operations and communities in which we work. WSP, whose board of directors is notably comprised of 37% women, has invested in initiatives to foster gender balance, integrating innovative sustainability considerations into our projects through our Future Ready program, as well as disclosing our global environmental performance such as energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

“WSP embraces our role to challenge the status quo and help our clients prepare for the future by integrating sustainability considerations into our projects. We are grateful for the recognition by Corporate Knights of our own efforts to lead by example,” says Emily Partington, Sustainability & Energy Project Director.

The Corporate Knights recognition reinforces WSP’s position as a forward-looking company that is committed to sustainable practices. Stay tuned to learn more about our sustainability efforts worldwide in our upcoming Sustainability report, which will be released on June 28!
