Michael is a Chartered Engineer with 20+ years in the rail infrastructure business. He has an extensive understanding of the railway infrastructure from a strategic to a detailed operational level following the experience gained working as a contractor, consultant, and client.
In his past position, he was responsible for the design department which delivers services to projects around the world. He organized and led Alstom's Core Competence Track Network whose main mission is to sustain and develop track competencies within the company.
Michael has managed and supervised teams of engineers for multimillion-dollar projects in Sweden, Denmark, Australia, France, Dubai, Riyadh, Philipines. He has succeeded in delivering on multidisciplinary projects for intermodal terminals, heavy rail, light rail, metro, passenger rail, freight rail and high-speed rail projects. Since 2011 he has focused his engagement on the project as a technical expert of slab track. He has led teams to investigate different track types for Metro, tramway, HSR projects. This background has made him to an attractive guest lecturer in the subject for technical universities in Sweden and Norway.
Michael gained his BSc (Civil) from Lunds University of Technology (Sweden) and MEng at Queensland University of Technology (Australia).
