Digital technology is fundamentally changing how we work, how organizations operate, and how we experience buildings.

We spend most of our lives in buildings. Working, living, learning, creating. To increase end-user’s wellbeing, security and productivity, reduce operational costs and achieve more effective maintenance and space utilization, we need SMART Buildings.

As a leading solutions provider in SMART building design, WSP was invited by Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, HKSAR (EMSD) to speak at their internal workshop to promote the latest technological trends and advancements in BIM and SMART building technologies to their engineers on 18 June.

WSP’s Matthew Marson, Head of Smart Places at WSP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), delivered a presentation on BIM towards Smart Buildings, which was well received by the 50-plus engineers at the workshop. Also in attendance were WSP’s Alan Lau, Executive Director, Building MEP, China Region and Simon Ng, Technical Director and Head of BIM, China Region.

From business case modelling, through design, technology advisory, core engineering and post-occupancy services – the breadth of WSP’s experience and expertise means we are able to offer a truly end-to-end Smart Buildings service. Find out more about our SMART services
