Managing Director, Asia
Ivy Kong joined the Corporation in January 2019 and is known for being a dynamic leader with a result-driven approach. She is a Chartered Engineer with 20 years of experience in professional engineering consulting. Her expertise encompass client relationship management, business development, project delivery as well as employee development and operations. She has worked extensively across Asia where she has established a strong track record in winning and successfully delivering major infrastructure projects across the region including Greater China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and India.
Ivy graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Prior to joining WSP, she held senior management responsibilities at AECOM in Asia.
Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations, Asia
Sunny Wu has over 30 years of international finance and operations experience. He joined the Company in 2013 as the Asia Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Operations. Prior to joining the corporation, Sunny worked and lived in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney, London and New York, where he held senior positions in leading global corporations including Unilever, Avon and Abbott.
Sunny is qualified accountant and holds an LLB and LLM from the University of London, UK and an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK.
Managing Director, Structural, China Region
George Chan is the Managing Director for Structural, China Region. He has over 40 years of experience specialising in the design and management of foundation & superstructure works for complex buildings and transportation sector projects. Prior to joining the Company in 2013, George had a successful 27-year career with Ove Arup where held a senior position within their Asia operations.
George is a Registered Structural Engineer, Registered Geotechnical Engineer, and Members of the Institution of Structural Engineers, Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, and the National Administration Board of Engineering Registration (Structural) in China. He attained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Canada.
Managing Director, Korea
Bruce is a professional Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience specializing in program and construction management of commercial, pharmaceutical and healthcare sector projects in Korea and the USA. Prior to joining WSP, he held senior positions within prominent international corporations including Executive Vice President at EE-Hwa Construction, Vice President at Korean Air and Country Head of Jacobs Korean operations.
Bruce holds a MSc. In Construction Management from the University of Southern California, USA and a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea.
Managing Director, Property and Buildings, and Sustainable Development and Environment, China Region
Colin Chung is the Managing Director for Property and Buildings, and Sustainable Development and Environment in the China Region and brings to this position over 30 years of professional experience in the planning, design and management of environmental, industrial, property & buildings, transport and infrastructure sector projects. He has spent his entire professional career with the Company and specializes in green engineering, sustainable building systems design, MEP engineering, cogeneration and trigeneration power systems and district cooling systems.
Colin is a Chartered Engineer, LEED AP and is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK, the Energy Institute, UK and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, U.K. He attained his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the City University of London, UK and MSc in Building Services from the University of Hong Kong.
Managing Director, Philippines
Dante is a Professional Engineer and traffic specialist. He joined the Company in 1997 and has over 28 years of engineering and planning experience in transportation planning, urban master planning, ITS and traffic engineering. Prior to his current position, Dante served as the Operations Manager for the Philippines business. He obtained his Master degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines and also a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from Adamson University, Philippines. Dante is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineer and is also a registered Civil Engineer, Specialist Traffic Engineer and Registered Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner in the Philippines.
Prior to joining the Company, Dante held a senior position at LPHI Ayala Land, one of the largest property developers in the Philippines.
Managing Director, Thailand
Alongkorn Deewong is the Managing Director for Thailand where he has been instrumental in establishing WSP as one of the premier international engineering consultancies in Thailand. He has 35 years of experience in the transport & infrastructure sectors and joined the Company in 2003, prior to which he had held senior positions at Hyder Consulting, and Christiani & Nielsen.
Alongkorn is a registered Thai Professional Civil Engineer. He attained his B.S. (Civil Engineering) from Adamson University in the Philippines, Master of Science from George Washington University in the United States, and Master of Management from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
Head of Power, Asia
Stephen Green is the Head of Power, Asia. Stephen has over 30 years of experience in business development and project management in the power production and services sector. He has led the development of power projects across the region and his experience covers both conventional and renewable technology generating assets. Prior to joining WSP, he has held senior positions with Johnson Controls, AECOM and Rolls-Royce and has worked extensively in Asia.
Stephen is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aberdeen in UK and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago in USA.
Managing Director, Infrastructure, China Region
Alex Kong is the Managing Director for Infrastructure, China Region. He has over 30 years of post-chartered experience from both consulting and contractor sectors and has led the design and project management of major infrastructure projects across Asia.
Alex is a Chartered Civil Engineer, with both his BSc and MSc degrees in Civil Engineering attained from the University of Hong Kong. He has led the feasibility-study/detailed-design/construction-supervision for a wide range of challenging projects, including highway works, complex bridges, rail stations, reclamation.
Managing Director, Taiwan
Frank has over 20 years of management experience from the buildings, transportation, and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining the Company in 2007, Frank held senior positions at the Taiwan Fixed Network Company and Taiwan Mobile, where he specialized in network and telecommunication projects related to energy management, ICT systems, SDH systems, Radio systems, Cloud computing, and Data center projects.
Frank is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional and holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the National Taiwan University, a MSc in Management and an EMBA from the National Chengchi University, Taipei.
Managing Director, Singapore
A Stanford educated engineer, Raymond has more than 29 years of professional services management and financial investment experience in the engineering, financial services and IT sectors in Singapore, China / Hong Kong and the United States. He joined the Company in 2007 as the Executive Director, Business Development for China and subsequently took over management of the China Project Management Business in 2013, before relocating to Singapore in 2016.
Prior to joining the firm, Raymond worked at leading international private equity firms such as ABN AMRO Asia Capital and Advent International, as well as management consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
Managing Director, Buildings, Greater China
Dr. Don Pan is a Chartered Civil Engineer and received his PhD in Engineering Rock Mechanics from the Imperial College, University of London and a BSc in Geotechnical Engineering from Tongji University in Shanghai.
As the Managing Director for WSP’s China Property & Buildings business, Don heads the MEP, Structural, Façade and Project Management consultancy business in the China region. He has 30 years of experience in the property development and infrastructure sectors from the UK, Hong Kong and China. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK) and also the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
Prior to joining WSP in 2004, Don held senior positions at the Halcrow Group in the UK and Asia, including as the MD for their Asia operations from 2000 to 2004.
Head of Legal, Asia
C H graduated from an English University and was called to the English Bar before his dual qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales and in Hong Kong. He is a construction and engineering as well as generalist corporate lawyer. Following his private practice in a law firm in Hong Kong, he commenced his in-house career as Legal Counsel with a major developer and subsequently as Company Solicitor with a leading British-owned construction firm headquartered in Hong Kong.
C H joined WSP in 2014 initially as the firm’s Asia Legal Counsel and brings to bear more than 23 years of experience in engineering and construction as well as generalist corporate-related legal practice. In recognition of his tour de force as a senior corporate counsel, his oversight of the Legal Team was recognized by the General Counsel Powerlist 500 under the “Hong Kong In-House Legal Team” category in 2018. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Managing Director, Malaysia
James Pang is the Managing Director of Malaysia. He has over 32 years of experience from the transport & infrastructure sector which includes overseeing major projects in Malaysia, China/Hong Kong, Australia and South Asia. James also held the position as Operations Director of Infrastructure for the China Region where he oversaw the operations and business development of the transport and infrastructure business. Prior to joining the Company in 1997, worked at the Kowloon – Canton Railway Corporation in Hong Kong. Civil Aviation Department Hong Kong and Westinghouse Signals in Australia.
James is a Chartered Engineer, graduating with a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong, MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Master of Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
Director, Human Resources, Asia
Edith joined the Company in 2019 after a successful career with Bouygues Construction where she was Head of Human Resources and Communications of their M&E business unit and a key member of their APAC management team. With 20 years of diverse HR professional experience in the construction industry, she has led the transformation of Bouygues’s HR function from a transaction-based to a people-focused and strategy-driven role. Edith’s experience spans all aspects of HR functions including performance assessments, remuneration, talent identification, recruitment and staff development and mobility.
Managing Director, MEP Property & Buildings, Asia
Vincent Tse is the Managing Director for MEP Property & Buildings, Asia where he has managed and contributed to the designs of numerous premier projects in Asia, the middle-east and UK. He has 40 years of experience with the Company and is a specialist in MEP and vertical transport systems for mega size developments, transport facilities and super tall building projects. And has presented over 30 research papers on advanced HVAC design, fire services systems design, energy conservation and efficient vertical transport systems.
Vincent is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Hong Kong, Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, and Fellow of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He attained his M.Sc. in Building Services Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Manchester Polytechnic, UK.
