Riviera is the biggest shopping mall in Pomerania, with 240 stores, including 191 shops, restaurants and cafés. WSP sustainability team assessed management of building systems during the BREEAM In-Use certification process.

Sustainable solutions

Sustainable solutions include among others:

  • energy and water use monitoring in BMS system;
  • energy use monitoring for individual tenants;
  • water-saving lavatories;substantial access to daylighting in the mall interior;
  • natural ventilation;monitoring of water leaks in BMS system and isolating valves preventing small leaks in the lavatories;waste segregation for recycling;
  • building materials that have been verified against volatile organic compound;
  • ability for individual users to regulate temperature and ventilation;good access to public transport;
  • solutions convenient to cyclists (cycle paths, cycle stands, lockers).
