WSP Middle East has launched its new maternity policy offering a minimum 55 working days and a maximum 130 working days paid leave to new mothers across the region.*
The policy reflects WSP’s commitment to ensure we retain and attract the best talent in the market by offering policies that far exceed the regional norms. The policy is designed to give maximum flexibility to new mothers supporting the balance between family and a career at WSP.
The new policy not only exceeds the regional norms for paid maternity leave but uniquely also encourages flexibility and choice for the employee and the business. This is achieved by offering the option to take the additional maternity leave days as a block, or as paid time off to top up a part-time working pattern for up to 12 months after normal maternity leave; giving new mothers and managers the opportunity to work together in deciding the pace of return to work.
This move away from regional norms is in addition to another WSP policy that, for some years, has been offering all female employees the option to request medical insurance for their children, even if they are not the sponsor.

*All new mothers will be expected to take a minimum of 55 working days of paid leave. Eligible females will then be offered up to a maximum of 130 working days of additional paid leave.
