WSP joined senior officers from The Hong Kong Jockey Club at the foundation laying ceremony on 17 December 2019, marking the start of construction of the  Information Technology Operations Building at Shatin Racecourse. 

This significant event was attended by Colin Chung, Managing Director for Property and Buildings, China; Eric Sin, Executive Director and Ben Wong, Senior Associate for Project Management, China. 

The 4,200 sq.m purpose-built development is located within the Shatin Racecourse and will house two separate Tier III+ standard data centres with plant equipment and facilities across five storeys. The total construction area spans 10,359 sq.m and is slated for competition at the end of 2021. 

WSP is the MEP and sustainability consultant for this development.
