The supertall Beijing CBD Z15 development “CITIC Tower” with 528m high stands in the heart of Beijing’s Central Business District and is earmarked as the capital city’s tallest building. 

CITIC Tower occupies total building GFA of approx. 437,000 sq.m with aboveground GFA of around 350,000 sq.m and belowground GFA of around 87,000 sq.m. The development provides around 332,000 sq.m Grade A Office Facilities with target customers from banking, financial and e-commerce institutions. At the top zone floors, there are F&B outlets, conference room facilities, and a grand Observation Deck at around 500m aboveground, where people can enjoy fantastic view of Beijing city. There are 7nos. belowground storeys mainly serve for carpark and Back-of-House facilities. 

CITIC Tower is destined to become China’s landmark building and also a benchmark for green building design in the business & commerce sector. The development provides effective and efficient M&E systems, sustainability features and vertical transportation systems of international standard.  For effective transportation of large amount of people to the Observation Deck at around 500m aboveground, the development provides high speed large capacity double deck elevators. Featuring the latest sustainable technology, materials and engineering concepts to date, the design incorporates ice thermal storage, free cooling, fresh air control, variable flow control, energy efficient lighting, waste heat reclaim and rainwater recycling features. When compare with tall building of its kind, CITIC Tower enjoys much more benefits of energy saving and sustainability.

WSP provides comprehensive MEP consultancy services from concept design to preliminary design stages in order to encompass the implementation of cutting-edge energy-saving MEP systems and advanced vertical transportation technologies. During the subsequent construction drawings and construction, we will also provide technical expertise support and design checking to ensure that the MEP construction drawings (prepared by local design institutes) are in line with the original design intent and quality requirements.
