Ingenious engineering by WSP has put the tallest City of London tower on the road to net zero
Famous for its historic tower preserved in a glass dome, the Melbourne Central shopping and entertainment complex has presented us with unusual design challenges during our ongoing work with GPT Group to develop its facilities. Amongst the most notable is our design for its nine-screen cinema.
Situated at a very prominent position in the Olympic Park along the middle axis of Beijing, this permanent home for the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is flourished by WSP’s smart and green MEP solutions.
Completed in 2018, the CITIC Tower, also as Citic Group Headquarters Building, is Beijing’s tallest tower.

A 17-storey office development next door to the Shard. It is one of the first buildings in London to use Building Information Modelling (BIM) from start to finish.
The new Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi’s Al Ain, is home to the city’s football club. With room for 25,000 spectators over three tiers, it is a compact and intimate arena, inspired by the natural landscape of Al Ain and encompassing both traditional and innovative design. As well as the football stadium, the development includes a six-storey commercial building and sports complex with kids’ club.
This project, in line with the Singapore Government’s Media Development Authority (MDA), was established to champion the development of a vibrant media cluster in Singapore.
The centerpiece of the development is the Goldin Finance 117 Tower, a 1,968-foot- (600-meter-) tall office and hotel tower with 117 floors.
A 138m-high, 30-storey tower, with nearly 70,000m2 of construction floor area. This was the first time that WSP in Asia used Building Information Modelling (BIM) to cover all design items in a project.
