WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization, recently announced the promotion of Dan Sobrinski to vice president and sustainability solutions leader of the sustainability and energy practice.  He is based in the U.S. environment sector office in Bethlehem, PA.


Mr. Sobrinski, who has been with the firm since 2004, has over 15 years of experience supporting public and private sector organizations across the sustainability spectrum. As a practice leader and client account manager, Mr. Sobrinski has directed the service delivery of strategy and program design, energy/GHG/resource management, green power procurement, external reporting (GRI, CDP, DJSI, GRESB), risk and vulnerability assessment, supply chain management, and life cycle assessment (LCA). He works closely with clients in the high tech, financial services, IT, real estate, telecom, consumer products, and retail sectors, including more than 12 Fortune 500 companies.

He regularly participates in panels and industry leading technical working groups and provides technical presentations at industry conferences, workshops and webinars. Recent presentation topics include Carbon Pricing, Greenhouse Gas Reporting and Sustainable Supply Chains.

A licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, Mr. Sobrinski earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University. He was recently appointed to the Green-e Governance Board which certifies environmental commodities and products that mitigate climate change and help build a sustainable energy future.
