Douglas Daniels is named bridge inspection lead engineer in Northern New York and adjoining areas for WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.


In his new position, Mr. Daniels will supervise the area’s bridge inspection staff and coordinate with area managers, marketing managers and other bridge inspection lead engineers to expand the service line throughout the upper tier of New York State and adjoining areas. He will be based in the firm’s Albany office.

Mr. Daniels has more than 33 years of varied bridge-related experience, including maintenance, program management, construction, inspection and design. He comes to WSP following a 33-year career with the New York State Department of Transportation. He most recently served as a regional structures management engineer and previously served as chairman of the agency’s regional structures management team.

A licensed professional engineer in New York, Mr. Daniels received an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany and a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Among his professional affiliations New York State Association of Transportation Engineers.
