In his new position, Mr. Kosterno will head the Miami office’s mechanical department. The firm is providing mechanical design for Miami River Development and a recently completed design for Blue Dental Offices in both Plantation and Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Kosterno is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) and has over 30 years of experience within the building services industry, working in the U.S., UK, Far East and Middle East designing high-rise luxury hotel/residential projects, retail facilities, office developments and hospitals. Prior to joining WSP, he was operations manager for the MEP/Sustainability Group at S.O.M.
“David brings to WSP a diverse background that includes design of multiple building types in a host of international locations,” said Jeff Black, senior vice president and acting managing director of the Miami office. “His areas of expertise fit perfectly with the requirements of today’s marketplace in Miami.”
Mr. Kosterno received a B.Eng.(Hons.) in building services engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, as well as higher national diplomas in HVAC engineering and public health engineering from St Albans College of Building. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.
