Michael McKibben has been named senior vice president and director of environment for the water and environment business at WSP USA.

 

nws-McKibben-MikeATLANTA, GA — Michael McKibben has been named a senior vice president and director of environment for the water and environment business at WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

In his new position, Mr. McKibben, who is based in the Atlanta office, will provide leadership, strategic direction and management of the firm’s environment business. He is responsible for operations, performance, client relations, technical support and staff development.

“Michael’s extensive leadership background and expertise in the development and execution of operational and business plans will allow him to successfully position our comprehensive environment service offering,” said Steve Paquette, president of the water and environment practice. “His experience and strategic vision will increase our ability to anticipate and proactively respond to changing client requirements, regulations and market trends to optimize the value we bring to our clients.”

Mr. McKibben is a collaborative leader with three decades of experience in environmental business management. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, corporate and leadership development, service excellence, technical oversight, construction/remediation and environmental consultation. Previously, he served in several senior management positions at leading engineering firms including serving as the president and CEO of ERM’s southeast operating companies – ERM Southeast, Inc. and ERM Remediation and Construction, Inc, chief operating officer at Bureau Veritas North America and senior principal at Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.

Mr. McKibben has a Bachelor of Science in geology from University of Georgia and is a licensed geologist in Georgia, Tennessee, California, North Carolina and Kentucky. He serves on the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce’s board of advisors. In his youth, he was awarded Eagle Scout by Neil Armstrong.
