LAS VEGAS, NEVADA — John Meng has been named office leader and senior engineering manager in the Las Vegas office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new position, Mr. Meng is responsible for the management, growth and development of the firm’s Las Vegas office, as well as performance of WSP’s projects in the area. He provides focus, direction and leadership as well as project management and technical expertise on local projects as appropriate.
Mr. Meng has worked in the transportation industry for more than two decades, with a range of experience in aviation, highway, transit, and water resource projects with public and private clients on projects of sizes ranging up to $1.5 billion. His experience includes design, construction management, and program management. Prior to joining WSP, he was with an international engineering organization, serving as a design manager on the California High-Speed Rail Program as well as several other roles.
A licensed professional engineer in Nevada, California and Utah, Mr. Meng received a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He is active in the American Public Works Association, Women in Transportation, and the Construction Management Association of America.
