SEATTLE – Mike Terrell has joined the Seattle office of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, as director of local agency programs.
Terrell will maintain and foster relationships with local agencies, as well as oversee the interests of key clients in the Seattle area and the Northwest.
“Mike’s unique understanding of the priorities, goals, and programs of public agencies will help WSP improve the client experience and meet the needs of clients in a seamless and efficient manner,” said WSP USA’s Northwest district manager Dave Warner.
Terrell has more than three decades of experience in the management, planning, design and construction of transportation and municipal engineering projects throughout the Northwest. He served in various roles at the City of Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), most recently as director of the capital projects and roadway structures division and deputy director of the department. He was instrumental in implementing of the City’s Bridging the Gap program and managing regional partnerships with agencies such as the Washington State Department of Transportation and King County. He provided oversight of SDOT’s capital improvements including the Spokane Street Viaduct and Mercer East and West improvements.
Terrell has a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Washington. He is affiliated with the American Public Works Association and the Construction Management Association of America.
