LAS VEGAS, NV — James Mischler has been named a senior supervising engineer in the Las Vegas office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new position, Mr. Mischler will manage transportation infrastructure projects. He is currently serving as design compliance manager for the Nevada Department of Transportation’s Garnet Interchange Design-Build project, which will provide safety, operational and capacity improvements to the I-15/U.S. 93 interchange and U.S. 93 for five miles.
An engineering manager with more than three decades of experience in civil engineering, Mr. Mischler has in-depth experience in design and management of a broad range of projects in the fields of roadway and bridge design and inspection, rail and railroad bridge design, transit design, water and wastewater structure design, small hydroelectric power design and construction, and floodplain studies.
During a previous tenure with WSP, Mr. Mischler served as engineering manager for the Guam’s Islandwide Program Management Services program. Prior to rejoining WSP, he was a senior engineering manager with an engineering company based in Eugene, Oregon.
A licensed professional engineer in Oregon, Ohio, Kentucky and Arizona, Mr. Mischler received a B.S. in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University. He is past president of the Sonoran Section of the American Society of Highway Engineers.
