ALBANY, NY— David Vieni has been named a senior supervising engineer and project manager in the Albany office of WSP USA, formerly WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new role, Mr. Vieni will oversee business development efforts for the transportation and infrastructure market aimed at expanding the firm’s services to clients, including state and local agencies, with a focus on design-build pursuits. In addition, he will manage design staff working within the firm’s structures technical excellence center, enhancing local capabilities in this practice area through knowledge management and cross-company collaboration.
Mr. Vieni is a structural engineer with more than two decades of experience in the pursuit, planning and delivery of major projects, including the rehabilitation and replacement of structures for the New York State Department of Transportation, the New York State Thruway Authority and the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Prior to joining WSP, he served as a senior project manager for a large professional services firm, supervising multidisciplinary design teams and managing client relationships.
Mr. Vieni earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University and is a licensed professional engineer in New York.
