NWS-Zanders-LindsayCHICAGO — Lindsay Zanders has joined WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, as senior vice president and managing director in its Chicago buildings office.

In her new role, Zanders will oversee day-to-day operations for WSP’s Chicago buildings office including current projects and prospective pursuits while contributing to design and project management for select works.

“Lindsay’s wide-ranging portfolio spans several markets serving clients in the Chicago area,” said Rich Driggs, president of the property & buildings practice at WSP. “She has built and maintained a reputation of quality management, business acumen and collaboration.”

Zanders’s work has included engineering and electrical design in addition to project management, and construction administration for municipal, commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities. Her design experience comprises systems in medium and low voltage electrical distribution, emergency, telecommunication, and fire alarms for new construction and renovation undertakings. She currently manages multiple discipline projects including studies, renovations, and new construction.

In her most recent role, Zanders was responsible for overall performance of the facilities division, including operations, project performance, staff utilization and growth, business development opportunities and client relations.

Zanders is a registered energy professional for the city of Chicago, a certified capital development board project manager, and a certified project management professional. She is a registered professional engineer in the State of Illinois, New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania.

She holds both bachelor of science and a master of science degrees in architectural engineering from Kansas State University. She is a board member of the Chicago Electric Association. Zanders volunteers with the ACE Mentor Program, an acronym for Architecture, Construction, and Engineering, ACE engages and enlightens high school students to consider or pursue careers in the integrated construction industry through mentoring, scholarships and grants. She also has been a team leader for the annual greater Chicago Food Depository CANstruction competition.
