nws-Rome-JensenATLANTA, GA — WSP, a global engineering and professional services consultancy, will provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for the new Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta replacement hospital, adjacent medical office building and central utility plant.

The projects are part of an overall master plan for the new campus, which includes the replacement hospital and an adjacent medical office building, the Center for Advanced Pediatrics, support buildings and more than 20 acres of green space. The campus will allow Children’s to meet anticipated Georgia pediatric population growth and better serve existing patients and families within a healing, natural landscape.

“We are honored to be working with Children’s and architect HKS on this important project,” said Rick Rome, executive vice president and director of building systems for WSP USA, and the firm’s lead engineer on the project. “Providing a top-notch and much-needed hospital for Georgia’s growing population of children is an important example of WSP’s commitment to projects which benefit our communities.”

“This new facility is going to have a major positive impact on pediatric care in the Southeast,” said Danna Jensen, senior vice president with WSP and the firm’s project manager on the new campus. “We are lucky to be part of that, and are proud of our role helping to provide care to children in the region.”
