NEW YORK, NY — Paul Meyer and Josh Radoff of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, have each been named 2018 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Fellows by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). LEED Fellows are professionals at the top of their fields in sustainability and green building and have contributed to the leadership and advancement of the field over the course of their career.
“We are very excited that Paul and Josh were recognized as two of this year’s LEED Fellows for their outstanding work on behalf of our clients and exemplary leadership at WSP,” said Rich Driggs, president of WSP’s U.S. property and buildings practice. “We couldn’t be more pleased that the USGBC has recognized their commitment by ranking them as among the best and brightest in their field. They have both dedicated their careers to sustainability and will continue to make significant contributions to LEED and the green building movement in the years to come.”
Paul Meyer, a senior vice president and leader of the firm’s commissioning practice, is based in WSP’s New York Office. He has over 35 years of experience and responsibility within both a global manufacturing organization and consulting engineering firms, including more than 20 years of overall facilities management, engineering staff leadership, and environmental health and safety management.
“Paul is an innovative thinker who possesses strong leadership, technical, team building, and problem solving skills,” Driggs said. “His skill set includes all forms of building commissioning, energy auditing, energy modeling, and green building consulting services such as LEED and Enterprise Green Communities.”
Josh Radoff, senior vice president at WSP USA, was recently named director of WSP’s Built Ecology practice, leading sustainability projects and initiatives within the Property and Buildings business working across WSP’s business lines. Radoff has consulted on a wide variety of projects for both public and private sector clients – nationally and internationally – and is an industry thought leader.
“WSP’s Built Ecology team manages some of the firm’s larger and innovative projects that deal with district energy and water systems, integration of renewables, and pushing towards zero energy and zero carbon,” Driggs said. “Josh works at the intersection of green building, integration of sustainable energy systems, and building and community health, wellness, and resiliency.”
“As LEED continues to evolve and push the market, so too do the dedicated leaders, experts, innovative thinkers and dynamic people who make up this class of LEED Fellows,” said Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO of the USGBC. “Being named a LEED Fellow signifies you are part of an elite leadership group in the green building industry.”
The LEED Fellow program was established in 2011 to recognize outstanding LEED APs who have demonstrated exceptional impact with LEED in key mastery elements related to technical knowledge and skill; a history of exemplary leadership in LEED; significant contributions in teaching, mentoring, or research with proven outcomes; and a history of highly impactful commitment, service, and advocacy for LEED.
LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers and must have made at least 10 years’ worth of exceptional impact on LEED and hold an active LEED AP with specialty credential, among other requirements. The evaluation process includes extensive portfolio review and is carried out by the LEED Fellow Evaluation Committee and supported by GBCI.
Meyer and Radoff will be recognized at this year’s Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, which will be held Nov. 14-16, 2018, in Chicago.
