NEW YORK — David Terry has been named director of operations for the water & environment sector at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.
In his new role, Terry will manage business and technical operations and work with the sector’s national and regional leadership to improve financial and business performance. He has more than 30 years of professional hydrogeology experience, conducting groundwater supply evaluations and assisting municipalities and water purveyors address their water supply needs and concerns. He previously served as president of Leggette, Brashears & Graham, Inc., the nation’s oldest hydrogeologic consulting firm before it was acquired by WSP in 2017.
In addition, Terry has served as lead investigator and project manager in subsurface investigations related to groundwater resource development and planning; assessment of aquifer characteristics, including evaluating groundwater recharge conditions, salt water intrusion, contaminant sources affecting water supply wells; and wellhead protection projects.

Terry holds a master’s degree in geological sciences from SUNY Binghamton and is a licensed site remediation professional. Terry also has served as a technical instructor who has provided certification courses in water resource and groundwater subjects for the New Jersey Water Association, American Water Works Association and Rutgers University.
