New manager brings municipal and transportation planning experience to role as area manager in the Colorado and Wyoming region.

Scott IngvoldstadDENVER — Scott Ingvoldstad has been named area manager for transportation in the Colorado and Wyoming region of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

As part of WSP’s Texas/Mountain regional leadership team, Ingvoldstad will be responsible for leading and expanding all markets in transportation and infrastructure, supporting diversification and growth, driving strategic direction, and leading the operation for financial and staffing growth.

“Scott comes from a strategic communications and government relations background, and has worked inside and outside of the infrastructure industry,” said Michael Unger, Texas/Mountain regional business development director. “He brings municipal, state and federal program experience with a perspective that goes well beyond the transportation business. Scott will build upon the successful growth WSP has seen over the past few years.”

Most recently, Ingvoldstad served as executive managing director for Panasonic Corporation’s smart city strategic planning division, working with municipal governments in cities like Colorado Springs and Kansas City to plan and accelerate the pace for implementing new and useful technologies. Previously, he worked for an international engineering firm, where his roles included government relations, Colorado area manager and client accounts manager, establishing relationships with multiple public agencies in the region.

Ingvoldstad is also involved with the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, where he served as a board member from 2015-18; and the Trust for Public Land Colorado and Southwest Office, currently serving as board chairman. He has served on transition campaigns for several governors and mayors. Ingvoldstad graduated from Colorado College with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
