Richard Steeg has joined WSP USA as a senior consultant to support the development and growth of the U.S. power transmission and distribution market.

Richard SteegWASHINGTON, D.C. — Richard Steeg has joined the Washington, D.C. office of WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, as a senior consultant.

In his new role, Steeg, an industry veteran, will support the development and growth of the power transmission and distribution market in the United States. He will utilize his deep industry experience and skills, including design engineering and utility systems condition assessments to advise WSP clients. Of particular interest is Steeg’s experience in utility performance enhancement, focusing on power reliability and resiliency, one of the most pressing concerns facing U.S. utilities now.

Steeg will also advise on smart grid development, electric vehicles and alternate energy sources.

Steeg holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Maryland and a master of science in civil engineering from University of Maryland. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and in his spare time is a volunteer with American Red Cross Disaster Action Team Eastern Pennsylvania Region.
