Mindful of the human experience in a space, Lilian believes that a successfully designed environment is one in which light is carefully and purposefully integrated with each design discipline.
Inspired by her grandfather, a civil engineer in the Philippines, Lilian learned architectural lettering and the use of triangles and T-squares at a young age. After an exciting internship during high school at a local architect's office, Lilian decided to pursue a degree in architectural engineering at Penn State University. After a three-year comprehensive education on all building systems including construction management, architectural design and history, she focused her final two years in lighting design and ultimately pursued this as a career because it offered her the perfect balance of art, science and management.
Lilian is adept at following projects in all phases of design from conceptual studies through production of contract documents and final focusing. She contributes unique design solutions that not only create a pleasing visual environment for their occupants but also incorporate the necessary technologies to conserve energy, comply with codes, meet project budgets and consider prevalent maintenance issues in today's building industry.
