Jennifer Brunton, a civil and environmental engineer with more than 20 years of experience, leads the national ecosystem restoration practice for WSP USA. Her niche expertise lies in blending the principals of engineering and ecology to enhance our natural and built environment. Jennifer has contributed to the resiliency planning and protection of miles of shoreline and the restoration of more than 1,000 acres of natural habitat. She excels at working with clients to articulate project goals to in turn derive required data and craft designs that achieve those objectives, and she effectively works with stakeholders to establish requirements, opportunities and constraints that she assimilates into the design process. Her expertise includes managing, designing and overseeing the execution of technical studies, including natural resource studies and hydrologic, hydraulic and hydrodynamic modeling efforts; developing engineering plans, specifications and cost estimates; providing construction supervision; conducting post-construction monitoring; and developing and implementing adaptive management actions.
