Steven (Steve) Paquette is the president of the U.S. water and environment sector for WSP USA. Under his leadership, he directs the team that provides full-service environmental, sustainability, water and wastewater services to a wide array of private, commercial, state and municipal clients. 

Steve has more than 30 years of senior management, operational and business development experience at major consulting engineering organizations and is responsible for the overall operations of the water and environment team in the U.S. He oversees critical aspects of domestic and international projects and plays a key role in the development and execution of management strategies. He drives technical excellence in providing full-service environmental, sustainability, water and wastewater services that fosters innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

Prior to joining the firm in 2015, he was a vice president of sales at a global infrastructure engineering company, where he had also served as the national water-wastewater business line leader. Previously, he founded and served as president of Groundwater Technology Government Services, a national environmental restoration firm providing environmental and remediation consulting services to state and federal clients.

Steve received an executive M.B.A. from the University of California and a B.S. in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is the chairman of the water infrastructure committee at AIAI, the Association for the Improvement of American Infrastructure, and a member of the WTS Foundation, American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation.
