Sahar is a recognized leader in emerging mobility strategies who brings policy development expertise that includes leading emerging technology concepts with the California State Office of Planning and Research and the U.S. Department of Transportation, working broadly across transportation policy areas including federal legislation and regulations, strategic planning, federal grants, and interagency coordination. As WSP’s planning and policy lead for automated vehicles and emerging mobility, Sahar is focused on helping clients develop and implement plans, policies and projects that incorporate emerging mobility solutions to create more efficient and beneficial built environments and transportation systems. Sahar has had leading roles in emerging and new mobility projects at the city and state levels, including those for Portland, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and West Sacramento, as well as for Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina and Utah. Sahar holds a master’s degree in public policy from Mills College and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
