Kurt specializes in the investigation and remediation of environmentally impaired sites, and has substantial experience in helping clients effectively manage environmental liabilities at contaminated industrial and commercial properties under both federal EPA and State-level remediation programs. As an environmental engineer, he applies both state-of-the-art and conventional technologies to control and remedy sites with diverse subsurface conditions and contaminants, with particular focus on groundwater treatment, free-phase product recovery, and application of in-situ forced-air and reagent injection technologies.
Kurt also provides regulatory compliance support in waste, wastewater, and storm water management, and is experienced in several areas of traditional civil engineering practice, including storm water, wastewater, and geotechnical engineering.
He is a licensed professional engineer in eight states and holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has been with WSP for 17 years.
