A Sustainable Hospital

The 200,000 square foot project, which is LEED Gold certified, included development of a brownfield site. Engineering solutions provided by WSP USA included natural daylight dimming control, air-to-heat recovery, ventilation and thermal comfort control, and water conservation measures resulting in 40 percent water use reduction. Additionally, the HVAC fan system and distribution has pressure loss modifications to minimize fan energy. Operating rooms utilize tracking control and unoccupied control to save energy.
