Richard Palmer, Director of Sustainability in Sydney, Brenda Kingston, Director of Sustainability in Melbourne, and Patrick Campbell, Associate Director of Sustainability in Brisbane, have been invited to sit on the panel of the Megatrends session at the upcoming Green Building Day 2017 events across Australia.
The ‘Pillars of Change’ theme for Green Building Day 2017 will address key areas involving the planet, people, industry and region, providing a vital forum for industry leaders to explore the next steps to transforming the sustainable built environment, while driving a carbon positive industry.
Director, Sustainability Manager ANZ, Tim Parker said “Green Building Day provides an important platform for industry leaders to discuss the global trends and their impact on the environment, identifying what areas we need to prioritise today.
In light of imminent climate risks and forecasted growth of our major cities, our role as sustainability practitioners demands us to be future ready, and provide systematic solutions that will allow societies to thrive .’’
Our Sustainability teams in Australia and New Zealand are at the forefront of major built environment and infrastructure developments across the region.
Our speakers will reflect on industry trends over the past decade before delving into five key areas of sustainability solutions and how they will shape the next 30 years. These areas include prudential-risk and climate change, urban intensification and the complexities, healthy communities, ecosystems and biodiversity, and digital disruption.
