Based in our Brisbane office, Kate has worked across tunnel, bridge, road, rail, radioactive waste, power generation, electrical, housing, mining and gas projects in Australia, the Philippines, Ireland and Denmark.
Since joining the company, two experiences sit above all else for Kate, “I was asked to project manage the integration of WSP and Parsons Brinckerhoff when they merged in late 2014. To see us now fully integrated and giving our clients a full suite of services is an accomplishment that both myself and the whole business is incredibly proud of.
Secondly, I was the project manager for the Tampakan copper mining development in the Philippines from 2007. Originally worth a small sum, due to terrific ongoing relations with our client the project value grew to millions of dollars and lasted over five years. It also led to more work from the same client after it ceased in 2012.”
Kate draws inspiration from watching extraordinary people achieve amazing things, “I think it is important that we celebrate our successes. If we drive the success of our people and focus on our people business success will come.”Beyond work Kate is a keen explorer. She says “A two week excursion to Antarctica where I got to kayak with Whales, observe Penguins and hike along the Andes in South America is a trip I’ll never forget. I was in awe of the world around me, the sheer expanse of it all is extremely humbling."
