Today, as we celebrate Global Wind Day, we take a moment to reflect on the important role wind plays in the energy mix to power communities.
According to the Clean Energy Council, in Australia last year, the wind industry experienced incredible activity that included 547 MW of new capacity, the third highest amount in its history. The continuing program of works will help us achieve the 2020 large scale renewable energy target of 33,000 gigawatt hours.
Paul Williams, Director of Power, ANZ, says, “The wind industry contributes to ongoing energy reliability for the nation.
“Our team has helped clients and communities thrive over the last 30 years by providing our expertise to over 300 sites that generate more than 75 gigawatts of power.
“We have continued to strengthen our service offering and capabilities to match our clients’ need, and we are excited by future opportunities in the sector.”
