She was selected based on her accomplishments, career aspirations and passion for traffic and transport planning, management and engineering.

Part of WSP’s Integrated Transport Planning Team in WA, Xin is currently working on the Riverside Drive Feasibility Study, which will facilitate higher intensity land use and improve connectivity between the Swan River and Perth CBD.

“Throughout my short experience in the transport planning industry, I have enjoyed learning new skills and solving complex problems to help shape a better future for our society. I see the future of our industry with barrier-free communication between city planners, road designers, engineers, road users and asset managers.

“I am looking forward to pursuing a long and purposeful career during such an exciting time in the infrastructure sector.”

Xin will be formally recognised at the AITPM National Conference to be held in Perth on 24 - 27 July.  She will now sit on the State Branch Committee as a Young Professional representative for 2019.

“I plan to liaise with other young professionals, organise social events and technical forums, and share my knowledge with others in our industry,” concludes Xin.
